Asked on Quora: Would Religion Stand A Chance Were It Introduced Today?

I recently watch the film Hard to be God from Russian director Aleksei German and based on the book of the same title by Arkady and Boris Strugatsky.

It is a film that gives us a sense of what path man may have taken if it weren’t for the advent of religion.

When asked this question I had to wonder if the person really meant “religion” (general) or if they might not have meant “Christianity” (more specifically).

I think I offered a fair answer:

He also was a manager overseeing web and creative services at ME&V ad agency. He has taught courses in E-Business, Marketing and Film at Wartburg College (Waverly, IA) and Lindenwood University (Saint Charles, MO).
